I like how i managed to capture the bug in the last angle. It’s quite hilarious. as if the bug’s looking down at me. I’m also quite proud of the fact that i managed to overcome all heebiejeebies to capture these pics…after all the bug does fly. And i’m not using zoom. Does it tell you how close I got to the bug?
I was lying flat on the floor cm-s away from it
My sister screeched at me. Not my fault. I like pretty bugs.
I dislike the many blurry pictures i got. These are the three i luckily captured clear and in ok angles. It’s very spontaneous and hard to control composition (esp since the bug moves ><)
I can improve on quick reaction and quick thinking to increase chances of taking good pictures, esp since so many good pictures last only for a second before it’s gone!
Oh the fun
Liquid paper art: Since Minne and I are sharing, there’s Minne, much taller than me XD With her fringe and straight hair XD As well as cow creation collaborated with Yuan Zhao
What I like : The creativity. The cow is hilarious. And recycled.
What I dislike: The cow is so post modern D: And ugly-ly cute. Remember beauty in the eye of beholder. and creator.
Improvement: Colour combi XD And length of legs makes cow even more retarded. I like my liquid paper drawing though XD
everyday one sentence: you’re the mull, im the muse.
– by thia thia
note, not by chia chia. Cynthia’s a MULE!
She’s more AMUSE-ing than a muse o.0 Anyway, she hijacked my blog for awhile.
Continuing: More photos! Of plants. Greenery.
Hmm, I’ve played with lighting a little (see plant with flash). I realise that in some cases, using flash isn’t that bad. Sure, depth os compromised, but the plant looks less dull with flash. Use of lighting inspired by artist Tom Mackie, but he’s is tons nicer cos he’s lighting comes from behind the plant, making it glow without compromising the depth
Secondly, Can Jess or someone photoshop the photo with caption “green” ? It’s so…empty there. I quite like the emptiness, but I wonder how it feels to have some yong / jess style little beings occupying that space :3
Hmm, I’m really enjoying myself looking for patterns in nature. I find skies, plants and water particularly nice (they have so many forms!) Nature is a wonderful source of inspiration
signs off, nooboet.
I so proud of these few pictures XD Noob is noob, but noob has its own happiness.
(grammar corrected by thiathia)
The first one: I like the glowy lights! and how the lights sorta intersect. I’ve no real idea why it pleases me though. Just happened to notice that the picture is potentially good when i tried to “paparazzi” my own sister. “hmm, bg looks nice”. SNAP! *adjusts angle a little* SNAP! The thing I don’t like about it is … I didn’t plan much D: It’s such a … unplanned, just happen to find picture. If only I had more skills, maybe I can arrange it to be nicer D:
Second one: Very purposefully arranged. I find it quite…ok? The big tree on the right is quite random o.0
Third one:
Oh my, I’ve lived in the HDB for 10 + years, and only found this scene recently? I’m quite proud of this one, esp since I’ve been taking a few pictures from this window, and to be able to find this composition…i *think* I have *improved*. Eeps.I like how the vertical lines are separated into horizontal bands of the clothes drying thing and the cars and the HDB flat too
What I Like: How the composition involves line. More interesting.
What I dislike: Heh, I KNOW there’s room for improvement! I’m just too dumb to find it!
Signs off, chia.
Can’t remember when I drew this. A3, poster paint. Yeah, me is noob and so is the art materials at home. Title? : Patriotic table cloth.
My art teacher says : when you draw apples, you can always add green! (Now doesn’t that remind you of Cezanne’s rotting fruits?)
I like: The colours on the metal can. Reflection in the milk thingum.
I dislike: The folds on the red cloth D: The dark blue parts are horrible. My signature using paintbrush is just as bad.
Title: Green and white table cloth (I’m so original). Other info: Same as above. That’s why these two appear in the same post.
Oh the reflection…mom framed it happily with some others (malaysia = cheaper than singapore!)
What I like: Hmm, it looks quite like the original that we were asked to mimic (assignment given by other art teacher)
what i dislike: w/o the art teacher it wouldn’t look like this D: I can’t paint folds in cloth properly ><
signs off, nooboet
Here’s stuff I drew…hee hee.
Hmm, May ignore the first one with the skull. It’s called venting frustration in form of random doodle.
It’s the second one I’ve something to talk about:
Bamboo! Why do leaves NEED to cross? (I think Carol or someone raised this issue about bamboos) Somehow adults (in my case my uncle) insist that the leaves need to cross
This is my first time trying to draw bamboo in … pen.
Quite weird, cos if you draw with a mao bi, the bamboo pole would be done in a stroke, instead of two lines with a pen o.0
If you open the picture in a new tab you’ll probably see the bamboo done in two styles : The one on the left being a pen replica of the original mao bi kind, the right being the version that Jenny drew for her coursework. Hmm, makes me realise that one ended up fatter than the other. And thus monster is created to chew on fatter one, as if thinner one was already….gobbled up.
What I enjoy : It’s so evil and hilarious. I enjoyed drawing out both styles of bamboo
It’s interesting to see how the chinese ink style varies with the one drawn “realistically”. (In this case, still from my imagination, or recollection of how Jenny’s looked like) The “realistic” one is much harder though, since the chinese ink style is somewhat simplified
What I dislike : Why do I end up putting in effort into doodle-ish stuff? I should have drawn this on a proper piece of paper (aka the sketch book we made.) I can redraw this…but inevitably the 2nd one loses the “feel” of the first D: I should bring a tiny sketchbook with me all the time D: Then when “inspiration” strikes, I can immediately draw on a better piece of paper…instead of one that has lines all over the place D:
What I can improve on: Draw on proper paper. Try diff mediums (i wonder how pastel bamboo looks like…pasty?)
signs off, nooboet.
Hey ppl
High heels are horrible. They HURT. My feet are still sore where my weight was crushing it ><
Go to Limelight concert! Though you’ll have to order from sistic directly.
Have doodled plenty over the past year (s). Scavenged for a while, manage to find some. Commence uploading of doodles. about 20 + pictures.
Oh, Went Mcritchie…and a monkey grabbed the water bottle of some guy practicing taichi or something. Was trying to get the bottle to open when another person saw it…so it climbed up a tree and disappeared from view. After having its fill of water…it gave an empty bottle back to the poor man XD
While waiting for the job talk to start.
Spot the 3 birds XD
Her shawl is all wrong, but heck care
an apple a day keeps the devil away
he’s flying…
soon to see more weird dolls
Susan is like … well, a playmate when we’re younger, an older sister now, and she cooks great stuff
Cynt, be jealous. The food she makes is tons nicer than what you had at my place ;D
Was bored…and the naughty twins are crawling all about.
Ahah, i like scribbling trees. Coloured with the limited colour pencils i had with me in class.
Why is she so sad D:
Ragged doll is back, with his swamp pal. They are… strangely cute <3
Hmmph. Let sleeping lizards lie. And domo kun and whale comes back!
The dog looks retarded. And my church mates thought I was weird to draw so much pests XD
Well, I only had red and blue pen…and even the ink is a little horrid.
The words and the drawing above it are by a church friend. My handwriting ain’t that neat.
My most recent demented doll, coloured with markers and radiating evil.
I think i like the sleeping dog more than anything else in this doodle.
I was hungry then…semi-influenced by YuanZhao’s baos.
Domo kun and whale as children. Babies, computer addiction, and finally…got caught by mama.
Whale became a demented doll too.
Scrawled a tree out with liquid paper…proceeded to draw other stuff.
Church friend’s bottle.
Heh. Evil kitty.
That’s all.
Nooboet.
