Nooboet’s strange teacher (mentioned in a few posts ago) decided to expose sec 3 ‘08 AEP class to book binding. Included in the book are 20 hand drawings (that have not been scanned).

Here are sketches done…welcome Nike.

The drawings in red ink were done by fellow ape Boonssica. The words are by nooboet though Drawn during an aep trip (where the teachers had the interesting experience of dressing up like ancient Greek Gods. The lighting was quite bad, could barely see what nooboet herself was drawing TT.TT

sec3 LSC designs...random

The leafy thing was inspired from a CD from childhood. Nooboet recalls the CD saying things such as ” Dangerous Creatures”, where upon double-clicking the program’s icon, the CD shows a leafy barrier, pushes it apart with the anonymous hands to show the activities. Quite fun. As can be observed, things are more related to … DOORS.

Since OBS entailed trekking and kayaking (or triyaking). Nooboet thought that she might as well create something to do with those main activities.

On A4 paper, not sketchbook. There’s that dangerous creature thing again, as well as some other designs and mind mapping.

the map here is closer to the final! The door design is here again, but needs more tendrils to balance out…

film opaque as a result of chemical disaster

Else this would be nooboet’s film for the black and white photography mentioned many posts ago. Unfortunately, the frame became opaque, a series of accidents happened, and nooboet had to redo a few times. Anyway, she stuck the damaged film on my sketchbook, at the suggestion of teacher L. Oh, teacher L neglected to mention beforehand that the camera gives the view that is significantly higher than the one actually taken. Therefore many of the pictures turned out very different from what was planned…

Yongboon was invited by a friend (from maple story, no less!) to attend his exhibition! The same exhibition (sorry, not museum) also featured the works of Japanese artist…ugh, nooboet was syre that she had her name card somewhere. More updates regarding this trip will be given when more information is found! This trip was informative since the artists were there! (cos it’s exhibition opening day!)

Had more difficulties designing this than the previous year’s. At least nooboet could keep designing doors and paths…she had no idea what to do for this year. She kept picturing the NYCD’s jacket…

Lifeskills camp logo

Hi.

I promise that this logo is super boring. I swear. Take a look. Don’t be disappointed though, I’ve warned you already. And yes, I created one, and only one. I might toss up some stupid sketches when I feel like it. But now? Logo only.

Graces logo front, Jan 2009, with photoshop. Possibly a4 when created. Actually, I'm not sure.

I keep thinking there’s something wrong with this (other than the fact that the pictures are koped…). It looks…topple-ish. Give it a poke, I’m sure it’ll fall like humpty dumpty.

Basically, since the idea of graces camp = nurturing monkeys like us into ladies. It comes with the whole formal dress and makeup, so here’s the makeup component.

I’ve planned for it to be black (one colour, actually), so that it can be easily manipulated to fit with any colour. (imagine some horrid combi. My gawd.)

Other stuff that I initially wanted to use were scrapped, cos they were a bit complicated. Being good old simple me with a tight deadline (having spent most of the time painting the clay work…my lungs) , I relied on simple stuff. Therefore a pair of lips and the lipstick. What else?

I’m not good at coming up with sophisticated designs. I simply have a problem making things elaborate. Occasionally, I might, but no more.

Oh, the Graces wording was uh. .. warped. Tweaked. In the end the logo’s a little shaped like an icecream cone, no? The icecream cone looked more topple-ish initially, until i tilted it a little. . . I need help balancing this thing.

The only good thing is that It’ll work with any tee shirt. The bad thing is that no one will be interested in it anyway.

see ya! Have to do coursework research now. Will love suggestions for candid family / school paintings. Any strange ideas?
